Primary 1 have been exploring our Winter topic, “Brrrr It’s Freezing!”, through a range of creative and investigative activities. The children painted and decorated their own snowmen, using collage materials to bring their frosty characters to life. They also created sparkly snowflakes, learning how each snowflake is unique as they practised fine‑motor and pattern skills.
As young scientists, the class investigated ice properties. They worked together to melt ice and free the Arctic animals trapped inside, discovering how heat changes ice to water and discussing which methods worked best.
