Lá Loch Mhíc Ruaírí
On Lough Day, pupils and staff proudly dressed in black and amber to show their support for the Loch Mhic Ruairí Senior team ahead of the Senior Championship Final this Sunday. In a powerful display of unity, our pupils gathered in the school yard to form the letters “UTL” – Up The Lough! Their voices rang out as they sang the team song and national anthem, creating a truly magical moment that captured the spirit of the day.
We were honoured to welcome special guests – Master Mullan, Shane, Michelle, and Fr McAnenely – representing former staff, our Board of Governors, and the football club committee. Their presence was a reminder of the strong community spirit that continues to inspire and support our school.
Adding to the excitement, pupils watched heartfelt video messages from past students and current team stars: Nathan, Oisín, Aodhán, Eoin D, Eoin Mc, Ruairí, Dara, and Ronan. They spoke warmly about their time at St Teresa’s and how their love of football was nurtured here. Their words of encouragement lit up the children’s faces with pride and joy.
It was a day filled with emotion, inspiration, and celebration – and there’s no doubt our pupils are ready to cheer their hearts out this Sunday!
