Primary 1 pupils have been busy getting their hands dirty as they took part in some planting activities as part of their learning about flowers and growing. The children learned about what plants need to grow, including soil, water, sunlight and care.
As they planted their flowers, pupils also explored the different parts of a flower, such as the roots, stem, leaves and petals. Through discussion and hands‑on experience, they developed their understanding of how flowers grow and why each part is important.
