Primary 1 pupils enjoyed learning outdoors as they investigated weight through a range of fun and practical activities. Using everyday objects from the outdoor area, the children explored which items were heavy and light, making predictions and testing their ideas as they learned through play.
The pupils used simple language to compare objects and enjoyed working together to sort, lift and discuss their findings. Outdoor learning provided a lively and meaningful way for the children to develop early mathematical skills while building confidence, communication and curiosity.
P1 showed great enthusiasm and teamwork as they learned through hands‑on experiences in our outdoor classroom.
