P3 have recently begun their Paired Reading programme, and we were delighted to welcome parents into school to take part in an introductory workshop. The session was designed to explain how paired reading works and to show parents how they can support their child’s reading development both in school and at home.
During the workshop, staff shared practical tips and strategies, and parents had the opportunity to read alongside their children in a relaxed and supportive environment. It was lovely to see such enthusiasm and positive engagement as families began this new approach together.
We look forward to seeing the benefits of the Paired Reading programme as it continues, helping to build confidence, fluency and a love of reading among our P3 pupils.
