The Primary 5 children, together with Mrs McElholm and Mrs Mimnagh, joined Fr Peter at the edge of the lough on a beautiful sunny day to offer praise and thanksgiving to Our Lady at the close of May. In response to Pope Leo’s call for special prayers for peace in our world, particularly in the Middle East, the children gathered in a spirit of quiet reflection and devotion.
It was a truly peaceful and meaningful time of prayer in the tranquil setting of our idyllic lough. The children reverently prayed a decade of the Rosary and sang A Mhuire Mháthair in honour of our Blessed Mother Mary, creating memories they will cherish for years to come.
