Stay and Play Induction Morning
We were delighted to welcome the children starting St Teresa's this September and their parents to our recent Stay and Play induction morning—a special gathering designed to help ease the transition into school life. This engaging session gave families the opportunity to visit the Primary 1 classroom, meet the staff, and take part in a variety of fun, hands-on activities that offered a taste of the learning experiences to come.
The morning provided a wonderful chance for children to become familiar with their new environment in a relaxed and welcoming setting, helping to build excitement and confidence ahead of starting school in September.
We were also pleased to welcome Elaine Mc Gale, Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) from the Western Health and Social Care Trust (WHSCT), who delivered an informative session for parents on how to support and develop children’s speech and language skills in the early years—a key foundation for lifelong learning.
A heartfelt thank you to Miss Coyle, Mrs Tuohey, and Nuala for their hard work in organising such a successful event and ensuring everything ran smoothly. We also extend our sincere thanks to the parents who attended and contributed to the positive, community-focused atmosphere of the morning.
We look forward to welcoming our new pupils officially in the new school year!
